We are your children’s advocates during parenting sessions
Parenting is the slow and consistent, bond-building actions where the children’s needs are the primary focus.
Parents look for cues and ask questions to determine the children’s needs and deliver what they need in a calm and consistent manner. This slow process increases the children’s trust and the visiting parent’s confidence so that repairs can be made and loving, life-long relationships are built.
During the sessions
Argus is a secure but comfortable, fun and familiar environment for children. Our team members are friendly, supportive and very experienced, so your child/children are in good hands.
You and your child/children will be taken through to your playroom by our Child Advocate. The Child Advocate will not interact with you much or offer guidance, they are there to ensure that the children’s needs are met and that everyone feels safe and comfortable.
Our sites are highly secure with security personnel onsite and cameras in every room. No information is shared between parties except the agreed points. Files are stored securely offsite and are available by subpoena only.
As the visiting parent:

Just like you would if you were living with them. This may include nappies, wipes, bottles, snacks, water or a change of clothes.

Why was Argus Founded?
After working through and with divorce, child services and domestic violence a large group of parents shared their experiences and highlighted areas of immediate need.
The need for legitimately child-focussed services for the reunification of families was was identified by most parents. They voiced many concerns such as cold environments, long waiting lists, and non-useful sessions.
Argus answered these needs. Held in environments built and furnished for children with services structured solely around the safety and comfort of the children, respectful and positive family experiences could be created for sustained success.
